Welcome to Tahoe Plus!
TAHOE Plus! is a professional development program for history teachers. It is designed and administered by the West Kentucky Educational Cooperative's Consortium for Innovations in Education. Partners include Murray State University (Department of History, Kentucky Academy for Technology Education, and Teacher Quality Institute), the Kentucky Humanities Council, and Facing History and Ourselves.
Funded by the United States Department of Education's Teaching American History grant program. TAHOE Plus! is an intensive, three year program serving fifteen school districts in western Kentucky. The goal of TAHOE Plus! is to strengthen teaching practices and knowledge of teachers; to generate a refined professional development model specifically developed for American history teachers at elementary, middle, and high school levels; and to produce teacher-developed instructional materials aimed at enhancing teaching strategies for the learning styles of all students.
