Mission
The mission of the Kentucky Academy of Technology Education (KATE) is to impact student learning by improving the use of technology as an effective instructional tool. KATE is committed to providing visionary leadership and high-level technological resources to ensure that exemplary services are readily available to educators in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
General Information
The Kentucky Academy of Technology Education was created in 1996 as a collaborative effort designed to improve instruction and learning in all Kentucky schools.KATE is located at Murray State University working with the College of Education, Continuing Education and Academic Outreach, and Information Systems partnering initially with Rural Telecommunications Research Center (RTRC), Kentucky Department of Education, PRISM, Region One Service Center and the West Kentucky Educational Cooperative.
