4-H Virtual Farm

At this site, you will learn about farming and agriculture--virtual tours of horse, aquaculture, beeef, dairy, poultry and wheat farms. An interactive quiz follows each tour to test students' knowledge.

4H

4-H is the Cooperative Extension System's nonformal, educational program for young people. 4-H enables youth to have fun, meet new people, learn new lifeskills, build self-confidence, learn responsibility, and set and achieve goals! Youth learn by doing and receive an award for a project.

Ag in the Classroom

Agricultural Research Service

The Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is the principal research agency of the U.S. department of Agriculture (USDA). ARS, one of the Research, Education and Economics (REE) agencies, is charged with extending the Nation's scientific knowledge across a broad range of program areas that affect the American people on a daily basis. Alternative Farming Systems Information

University of Kentucky's College of Agriculture Distance Learning Programs offers five different electronic field trips and free on-line curriculum materials to support them. Visit a beef, horse or pig farm. Take a field trip to a Vet Clinic or visit an orchard.
