College of Education Curriculum Materials Center

The Curriculum Materials Center houses up-to-date materials that are used on a regular and consistent basis by students and faculty. All programs within the College of Education may place resources in the Center. It is one of the best-equipped rooms that one may find anywhere. There is wireless and wired access to the internet. Two areas of particular note are the Multi-Media area and the Publishing area.

The Multi-Media areas were designed as a place where students could "try out" or share PowerPoint presentations (using their laptops), view videos, and other Multi-Media materials. In the Multi-Media area there are dry-erase boards, screens, and seating. A VCR, DVD player and overhead projector are available.

The Publishing area was designed as a place where students could produce or publish materials for use in class or by student professional organizations. Types of publishing could range from a simple chart to a sophisticated newsletter. Examples of materials provided in the area include; rolls of paper from NewPage, paper cutters, writing materials, photocopy machine, and laminator.

The collection of public school textbooks, picture books, chapter books, kits, puppets and selected professional books are searchable by an online catalog in the CMC and in offices and buildings on campus.
