Graduate Courses

Graduate courses offer inservice teachers and nonformal educators an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and practice of environmental education (EE).  Students seeking the Fifth Year, M.A. Ed., or the Rank I in elementary, middle, or secondary education certifications may use graduate EE credits to complete a 12-hour environmental education endorsement specialization.  This endorsement, which may be sought in any degree-seeking or planned teacher education program, enables teachers to build proficiency in environmental education as set forth by Kentucky’s Experienced Teacher Standards and the North American Association for Environmental Education Standards.  Descriptions of current graduate EE offerings, as well as course syllabi, can be found on these pages.
