Classes and Workshops:
The Center for Environmental Education offers a wide variety of classes and workshops to undergraduate and graduate students. The classes and workshops showcase a broad array of environmental education activities and methods from which teachers and non-formal educators alike can benefit.
The majority of our classes and class experiences take place in the natural environment, an atmosphere conducive to learning about the environment and how to incorporate it in our classrooms. Our classes usually take place on the weekends at Brandon Spring Group Camp in Land Between the Lakes*. Here, we get the opportunity to build up community and really get to know people who likely share the same values and philosophies about education as we do.
From time to time, we offer various workshops that are open to anyone regardless of enrollment status unless otherwise indicated. Sometimes workshops are incorporated into undergraduate and graduate classes as a part of the course requirements. These workshops include the internationally recognized and field-tested Project WILD, Project Learning Tree, Project WET, and more! Take a look at the workshops that we offer and see if one appeals to you and your classroom.
*Some classes may require additional meetings or alternate meeting times.
