EDU 668 – Agriculture and the Environment in the Classroom
This class meets two, non-residential weekends usually in May and/or June and studies the agriculture connections that can be made to a regular classroom K-12. During the course of the two weekends, you will receive training in the national curriculum, Food Land and People (FLP). We will take an up-close and personal look at agriculture in a natural setting during day trips to local farms and businesses. Major concepts learned in this course include growth, processing, and distribution of food and fiber and the effects these have on sustainable living. In this class, you will learn about and do some hands-on activities that will help make agriculture and its practices real to your students.
