EDU 663  - Workshops in Environmental Education

Providing a diverse range of workshop topics, this course offers an ongoing glimpse into the interdisciplinary nature of environmental education.  Repeatable to nine hours (3 semesters), EDU 663 is built around a different content theme each semester, allowing students the full breadth and depth of an integrated EE curriculum model. Course experiences provide classroom-relevant connections to the KY Core Content for Assessment and the Program of Studies in addition to non-formal modeling of activities which address various learning styles and Multiple Intelligences (especially The Naturalist) in a problem solving, hands-on approach. Past workshop emphases include:

Agriculture In the Classroom,

Project Adventure/Building Community/Team Building,

Watershed Study,

Arts in the Environment,

Photography in the Environment (non-camera and camera), and

Environmental Education and Special Needs.
